We are proud of our creative curriculum which is underpinned, but not straight jacketed, by The National Curriculum. Children receive a broad and balanced curriculum with a rigorous focus on the key skills needs to excel in both English and Maths. Science and Technology are also at the forefront of our priorities, as well as Computing, History, Geography, Physical education, Music, Art and Design. Children in Key Stage 2 learn French. All children are taught Religious Education, which whilst broadly Christian, recognises and celebrates the beliefs and practices of other religions. The children learn about Citizenship, Personal and Social Development and Health Education (part of which includes Sex and Relationships Education).
The school teaches phonics using THRASS (Teaching Handwriting, Reading and Spelling Strategies). For for information on THRASS, click here.
